Busy Bees~

My goodness it has been a busy week. I didn't realize how fast the week went by until I was thinking back to last weekend and it seemed like a few short days ago. Wowzer! Anyway, last Saturday Tyler and I had to get the oil changed in both of our cars. After that, Tyler spent time with his dad and brother while I went on a hunt for a bed-side table with Leslie, Lori, Brynn and Nancy. We went to several antique stores and some non-antique stores. At the antique stores, I couldn't find anything I liked and at the non-antique stores I found everything I liked but nothing within the price that I was willing to pay. On the way home, Lori decided to pull in to one last antique store. This antique store was like a GOLD MINE!!! Not only did I find a fabulous bed-side table that I loved and the price loved me back . . . .

. . . I also found the quaintest little table for our sweet little patio. The table was definitely a steal!!! It is wrought iron with a glass table top. It came with 2 chairs and covers for the chairs. The covers are not in the picture because they were made of straw and looked a little moldy. So, maybe I can find some cute pillows on sale somewhere and turn them into seat cushions!

So, needless to say . . . Saturday was an eventful and productive day! Then, on Tuesday night, Tyler and I were privileged to see Ingrid Michaelson's show at the House of Blues in downtown Dallas. We went with the wonderful Rutherfords and had a BLAST!!!! It was my first ever trip to the House of Blues and I must say I was impressed. After that, the week continued to be busy in an uneventful way. Last night, we got to see Connor play hockey! Normally we wouldn't be able to watch his games, but this particular game was in Farmers Branch which is right down the road from us. Connor played well and it was good to get out of the apartment! Tonight, Tyler's oldest and dearest friend returned back to Texas from Tennessee. Joseph had been interning with a baseball team in Nashville since May and just finished the internship. So, tonight Joseph graced us with his presence. Not only that, but he taught us how to make authentic Italian stromboli! He actually has family in Italy, so it was nice of him to let me in on the family recipe.

I would just like everyone to know that I am in a family of royalty! My grandpa, Marion, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at Eastern New Mexico University on Saturday. My youngest sister, Victoria, was on the Texico High School homecoming court this year; last year, my brother, Levi, was on the Texico High School homecoming court; and in 2002 my beautiful older sister was THE Texico High School Homecoming Queen!! I am so blessed to have such wonderful sisters and brother! They were not elected for this honor based on the fact that they are gorgeous . . . but they are truly some of the most kind, loving, genuine and gracious people you will ever meet in your life! Here's to an amazing family and even more so . . . . Here's to the absolutely adorable, wonderful, admirable, wise, thoughtful and selfless parents who raised them! I love my family so much . . . PRAISE GOD!

Until next time, may God bless you and keep you . . .
~Nicole
