Extremely Blessed

Just a few things I want to write about. Last weekend, Tyler and I were blessed to be able to make the quick trip to Lubbock to see my brother participate in Master Follies. He did so well and I was very proud of him. Not only that, but he was also honored as the Freshman Male Representative (Prince) on the Homecoming court for LCU. We also got to spend time with my mom which is always nice and we were able to visit with Tanner both times we passed through Abilene. We had so much fun, but it was a quick trip. We had to leave Lubbock pretty early on Sunday morning to get back home for our first small group gathering at church. We were both a little nervous about the first meeting, but very excited. Our friends Pat & Ericka also joined a small group at church (not the same one we joined) and their first meeting did not go as well as they had hoped. This was the reason for our being nervous. However, the first meeting went really well. We really enjoy all of the couples that were there! We feel like we could possibly build some really great friendships with these couples. God is so good and always blesses us immensely! The BIGGEST news, Tyler got a new job! Something he has been praying for, working towards, and trying so hard to find! I have also been praying so hard for this, not for financial reasons at all, but for the fact that a different job would really help my husband's well being, confidence, social life, and so much more. In his old job, he had just hit the ceiling. There was no room for expansion of his God-given talents and no room for any type of advancement. So, God has just continued to bless us so very much. Sorry there are no pictures in this post. I have been under the weather since Friday with the sore throat, achy body stuff.
