Well, this week sprinted by! I can't believe Thanksgiving is now behind us and we are preparing for Christmas. I love this time of year! The joy of being with family, celebrating our Lord's birth, giving gifts to family and giving to those who are less fortunate - it all brings such joy to my soul.
Our church has distributed a booklet of devotionals for the "seasons" of the holiday. The first is the season of advent. Tyler and I have been going through the advent devotionals in preparation for Christmas. These scriptures and readings have really helped me get back to the mindset of Christmas being a celebration of Christ's birth rather than just a big "gift-giving" holiday. I feel so blessed to worship at a church that provides such wonderful tools to strengthen our faith and relationship with God. I am also so thankful to have such a Godly man to lead me and my family on a path that enriches us spiritually and who encourages me to give God the glory in every aspect of life. Thank you for that Tyler, you are a true blessing to my life and to our child!
It seems over the past two weeks my belly has just kind of "popped." I've gone from looking like "she's enjoyed a few too many donuts" to "good grief, she is pregnant!" I am thankful for this. I am happy to be out of the chunky/bloated stage and into the baby belly stage.
