PRODUCTIVITY

I just love those weekends when you can check everything off your to-do list. That's how this past weekend was for Tyler and I. It started raining Friday evening around 6 and has been raining since then. I'm new to this whole 'multiple-days-of-rain-in-a-row' thing, so I made Tyler help me clean all day on Saturday (which was surprisingly successful)!!! There were so many things we needed to do. We had tons of pictures and frames we needed to hang in the living room. We needed to clean up the dining room table (which was covered in mail I am still trying to sort). W needed to clean the bathroom. AND we needed to finish going through the boxes of things that had been consuming the floor space at the end of our bed since day 1. So, on Saturday . . . we completed everything except for cleaning up the dining area. We got pictures put up in the living room and put away the extra boxes that were just kind of sitting around. We put some decor in the dining area. Tyler helped me put up all of the dishes in the kitchen. We can now see the floor in our bedroom and closet. And I must brag on my husband for a bit, because he took it upon himself to clean the whole bathroom . . . with COMET and all!! I was impressed! He did a spectacular job. I will take pictures and post them on my next entry so those of you who haven't seen our apartment (mmhmm: my entire family) can experience the cuteness, at least in my eyes.

Tomorrow night we are being locals and going to GRAPEFEST with the Rutherfords!! Grapefest is like the fall festival of Grapevine. Tyler and I drove by Main Street tonight and saw all of the carnival rides and preparation for this weekend. We are going on Thursday night because all Grapevine residents get in free! Pretty exciting. I will try to take pictures of the evening and put those up also.

Other than all of this, Tyler and I have been doing good. The Lord blesses us in new and multiple ways every day. We are so fortunate to serve such a loyal and generous God who meets our needs always. He always provides for us and takes care of us. We are still seeking a home church as a couple. We have tried out a few really good churches. We really love Stonegate and Church at the Cross! These are our favorites so far. They are both smaller churches: Stonegate has about 30 members and Church at the Cross has about 80 members in the service we attend. Stonegate is new, so they don't have class but they have home groups. They are a new church about a month old. The lead pastor, Rodney, and his wife, Laura, did our premarital counseling. They are amazing! Church at the Cross has a "young couples" class (which we have not had the chance to attend yet) but we look forward to trying that out in the near future. This Sunday we will be trying out another church my dad has told us about. I will get back to you with an update on that next week.

That is about all of the ramble for now. So good night and God bless!
