With Ellie's early arrival, I was not able to write a post dedicated to her nursery. Now that I am kind of getting the hang of this mom thing, I have a few minutes to blog while my love bug is sleeping. So, I thought I would take the opportunity to show pictures of her cozy, vintage-inspired nursery.
Those of you who know us and have seen our home, you know we have a unique taste and style. We love retro pieces and we love uber-modern pieces so we kind of mix and match the two styles. Also, Tyler has quite the eye for interior design (due to his amazing graphic design ability!)
So, wait no longer ... here it is!!

Clothes & Shoes: Loving friends and family

So, wait no longer ... here it is!!
Crib: Target (thank you mom and dad!)
We liked this crib because it is elegant yet simple and timeless!
Bedding: Land of Nod (thank you Tom and Leslie!)
Pillows: Land of Nod
Our original goal was to find cute girl bedding without pink - more of a vintage floral with reds and teals. However that was impossible without spending up to $800 or asking someone to make it for us. We found this bedding and liked the mixture of patterns and colors so we decided we could handle a little pink - hey at least it is light pink, not BARBIE pink ;)
Alphabet cards: Amazon.com
I like to give credit where it is due - I actually saw this idea on Pinterest and just put a vintage spin on it. I found these cute alphabet cards and loved the vintage/quirky artwork.
Canvases: designed by my AWESOME husband
Shelves: the Container Store
Mobile: Land of Nod
This wall is one of my favorites because it has a lot of character and a lot of thought went into the details.
Shelf contents from top left to bottom right:
Top Row - Ball jar: antique store find - Pink Frame: Home Goods - Green Elephant piggy bank: Urban Outfitters
Bottom Row - Orange Ceramic Owl: Gift from my dear friend, Sarah Montgomery - Cross Stitch Alphabet: Leslie Anthony - Lamb: gift from my sweet friend, Meliha Diomampo - Calf Feeding Bottle: compliments of my dad - Lady books: antique store gems
I'll start with the picture ... we wanted Ellie to have a picture of her parents to remind her not only that we love her, but that we also love each other very much! We want to set a good example early and often of what love and marriage should be - based on God and full of love.
The piggy bank is so we can teach her how to save money.
The calf feeding bottle is to let her know that momma was a country girl who got up bright and early as a kid to feed her calves - Doc and Fancy (my parents) instilled a strong work ethic in all of their kids and Tyler and I plan to do the same for her.
Glider: Land of Nod (thank you OSV family)
Table: Target clearance!
Lamp: Land of Nod (thank you Leon and Nancy)
Wooden "A": Home Goods
For Ellie's changing table, we did not want a traditional changing table. So, we looked everywhere and found this antique buffet to re-purpose as a changing table. We wanted to have a piece for her room that could evolve with her and every phase of life!
Clock: Wedding Gift
Hanging Baskets: Home Goods
Changing Pad & Cover: Land of Nod
Gray Bins: Target
Changing Table: Lewisville Antique mall
Here is a peek into Ellie's closet! This little girl is so blessed ... please not that Tyler and I did not purchase a single stitch of clothing or baby supplies. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this little lady and her wardrobe!
