23 WEEKS

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed some good quality time with your families.  Tyler and I spent Christmas with Tyler's family this year and will be heading to Lubbock this weekend to have Christmas with my family.  We are truly blessed to have such wonderful parents and siblings on both sides.

Well, our first married Christmas Tyler and I spent Christmas day with my family in New Mexico.  That also happened to be the first "white" Christmas the DFW area had seen in probably ten years.  I felt bad that Tyler wasn't able to see it for himself.  So, this year I prayed that he would get to experience a white Christmas in the metroplex.  Those of you who live out here know that it was going to take a miracle for it to snow ... especially since it was 75 degrees on Saturday, December 22nd.  But God is capable of miraculous things and we got to experience a white Christmas in Dallas!  Very exciting :)

This will be our last Christmas as a family of two and it is bittersweet.  We will miss little things like sleeping in during Christmas break, the ease of traveling and packing for just ourselves, etc.  But all of that will be replaced with the joy of watching our little one experience her first Christmas, the thrill of Santa, seeing our families enjoy little lady's presence and so much more!

Our last Christmas as a family of two!

How Far Along: 23 weeks
Baby Size: 11+ inches, a little over a pound
Total Weight Gain: 13 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Still the few that I have purchased, along with a few pieces I got for Christmas.
Sleep: My sleep schedule has been interesting. I often wake up at least twice a night and feel like I am supposed to be awake for the day. I guess this is preparation for what's to come!
Best Moment This Week: Spending time with Tyler's family for Christmas
Miss Anything?  My love for Mexican food and my sensor (I have found that pregnancy has made me very sassy and I often say things without thinking...)
Movement:  Yes.  I love feeling her little kicks and her incredible barrel rolls!
Food Cravings:  Still Oreos and last night I had the urge for some KFC (I don't know the last time I ate at KFC)
Anything Making You Queasy or Sick?  Nope
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out?  Half 'n Half - the top is now sticking out while the bottom is still hanging in there
Wedding Rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy with a few moody spells (sorry Tyler, but you are a saint for dealing with me!)
Looking Forward To: Seeing my family this weekend!

God has been good to me in so many ways this past week. From family time to settling my short term disability debacle at work.  I thank Him for all things and praise His name always!

I hope that each of you have been as blessed as Tyler and I over the past week!

God bless,
Nicole
